hello all members of the torres/carr clan! we are lucky to have family all over the country, and soon, the world. our lives have taken us far from each other to new places and ways of life. because of this, many of us have agreed that we are not staying as in-touch as we should. so! here we created a family blog that supports text, video, pictures, and links. it is a technological effort to keep our wild kin together. feel free to use this space to tip, tap, and type any and all information, updates, stories, etc. that will help our family stay strong as we grow up, out, and better.

Our Schedule in Uganda

I thought to post our itenary here so we don't have a repeat of the Kenya fiasco!
Also, I am adding out flight itenary, just in case.


Schedule for Uganda Mercy Trips January 2010


Saturday afternoon Jan 23 Depart U.S. on KLM airlines
Sunday morning Jan 24 Arrive Amsterdam
Sunday mid morning Depart Amsterdam
Sunday Night Arrive Entebbe, stay overnight in Kampala

Monday Jan 25 Exchange Money, have breakfast in Kampala
and depart to Mbale (some sight seeing)

Tuesday Unpack supplies, hold pre-op clinic, and
prepare medicine packets for outreach clinics

Wednesday – Friday Surgery at Kanginima Hospital, medical
outreach clinics at local church sites, two medical
teams will have separate outreach clinics

Saturday post/pre-op rounds at Kanginima followed by local sightseeing, village tour, shop Mbale

Sunday Jan 31 Church Services at Kanginima or Sisiyi
Followed by Picnic at Sisiyi Falls

Monday – Wednesday Surgery at Kanginima Hospital, medical
outreach clinics at local church sites
